From Goodreads.com:This is the second book in the Maya Davis series and it was just as wonderful as the first.
When Maya Davis’ ex-boyfriend proposes to her roommate, Jen, their apartment becomes Wedding Central. As if that weren’t awful enough, Jen’s obnoxious mom moves in to help with the planning!
Maya's relationships really start to get crazy when her genius brother and sister-in-law announce their pregnancy, and then to top it off there’s Jack—could it be love? Who wouldn’t need a coffee break!
This fun, lighthearted fiction novel for teens uses strong characters, humor, and quiet faith to promote trust in God.
Latte Daze isn't the longest book in the world, or at least not the longest book I have ever read, but it seemed long. That might sound bad, but it's not. I found myself intrigued by everything going on right until the end. There were definitely a few slow parts, but I find it's hard to find a book that doesn't have a couple every now and then. Like Cool Beans, you will follow Maya in her everyday life and watch all the craziness that unfolds. Erynn Mangum has such an easy going vibe to her books and you'll find you self very calm and happy while reading this one.
Maya and friends are just as fun to read about in this book as in the previous. The only difference is the added stress of a wedding and relationship. And a baby. I found myself laughing and worrying for each character. I feel like Maya's parents, brother and sister-in-law are still strangers though. I hope to see more of them in the third book.
Overall this was a great sequel and I am excited to see how everything concludes.
